IES Albalat is honoring the dead in holocaust devoting a week of peace with many tips and activities to send messages of love and harmony. Here are some of the texts and videos we have played in class so that our students could understand what really happened. Thanks to PMAR 1 and PMAR 2 groups, always happy to take part in our projects.
Emotional intelligence is one of this year's projects at school and the English Department are working with bilingual and non-bilingual students to develop and improve their vocabulary on emotions and feelings. Here's an example of one of the videos we've watched in the classroom.
It is Carnival soon and in the IES Albalat we are going to celebrate a mask contest decorated by students. From 18th to 22nd of Februry all the students will have to give their teachers their masks. The week before Carnival, the students will decide which is the best mask. The winner will receive a ticket for the cafeteria.
Christmas time bilingual and non-bilingual groups have been working about New Year's resolution. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Albalat's Bilingual Section and all the teachers involved!
This festivity is celebrated in November in the United States and today we have learnt more about its origins and meaning, about family, friendship and the things we are thankful for.
Many groups have decorated a panel with messages about love, thankfulness and the value of things.
